Straw yellow in color with a clear, bright appearance, our latest OFS Chardonnay is a balanced, complex wine that reflects the best characteristics of each of the vineyards that contribute to the final blend. Fresh aromas of Granny Smith apple, honey suckle, and lime are accompanied by hints of graham cracker and pie crust. On the palate are luscious flavors of D’Anjou pear and clove with a hint of nutmeg and black cardamom. A long, bright finish makes this wine a perfect pairing for a variety of dishes including butternut squash ravioli and veal chops.
Ruby colored in the glass, our 2014 OFS Pinot Noir opens with aromas of red fruit and star anise. Upon the palate, flavors of dark cherry, orange peel, raspberry and a touch of clove bring together this medium bodied wine. Nice acidity and medium plus length ensure that this is an immediately enjoyable Pinot Noir.
Sourced and hand harvested from Saitone, Hill View and Slusser Vineyards, some of Russian River Valley's premier old vine Zinfandel vineyards, the fruit for this delicious wine was chosen for superior quality and variety. In warmer reaches of the valley where old vines persevere, grapes ripen over an extended season to develop wonderfully complex flavors.
