The 2016 vintage in Sonoma County was almost perfect with moderate late winter rains, providing a healthy boost to the drought-stricken region. Moderate spring and summer weather led to elegant, profound wines with tremendous amounts of expression even at an early age.
Les Parcelles Cachées, meaning "the hidden parcel" is located at the back of the estate and comes from Mt Eden and Swan clonal selections blended together, creating a wine with perfumed lilac aromas and generous mixed dark blue and red fruit characteristics.
A beautiful dark blush color in the glass, our 2017 Estate Vineyard Rosé offers enticing aromatics of ripe raspberry and rose water with hints of orange blossom. Flavors of wild strawberry and cranberry are accented with bright citrus notes that lead to a crisp, balanced acidity. A delightful aperitif, it also pairs well with a roasted shrimp salad or semi-soft cheeses like Gruyère or Havarti.
Our 2014 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir aromatically opens with ripe red fruits heightened with hints of soft baking spice and candied orange peel. The deep aromas lead to enticing flavors of cherry cola balanced with the earthiness of Shiitake mushroom. Its full body, and round, rich velvety feel lead to a long, satisfying finish.
La Bienvenue, meaning "welcome" is from the parcel located at the front of our estate vines. It is composed of grapes from 828 and La Tache clones, which offer vibrant acidity and concentrated, but quintessential Russian River Valley red fruit.
