Our Blanc de Noirs is bright, fresh, and perfumed to the nose along with a hint of apricot aromas in association with floral notes of peonies and freesia. The flavors build in the mid-palate with lush flavors of peach, honeydew melon and vanilla with a lingering, and elegant finish.
Our Russian River Valley Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine is harvested from Heintz Vineyard, Green Valley of the Russian River Valley.
Located above the town of Occidental on the western edge of the Green Valley, the vineyard lies on a gentle south facing slope, composed of Goldridge sandy loam soils intermixed with fractured sandstone. This is a highly sought terroir for quality wine, due to its excellent drainage and low fertility. The Pinot Noir sourced for this wine is from two clones Dijon clone 113 and the Beringer clone. Clone 113 is the most elegant with perfumed aromatics, amplifying the prettiness of the wine, where the Beringer clone consistently produces quality and graceful fruit of pedigree being one of the first Pinot Noir clones planted in the US.
The wine
underwent primary and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks prior to being put en tirage where it aged on lees for 24 months in the traditional method prior to being disgorged. The result is a well-balanced wine with bright acidity and a rich, round mouthfeel.
