A hot and dry summer led to developed fruit and rich, ripe flavors and while yield was down overall, the smaller berries had concentrated flavors and exceptional quality.
Planted on Huichica clay loam soil, our Estate has eight blocks of Pinot Noir with a unique combination of clone and rootstock. The 2015 Estate Pinot Noir is made using all of our eight estate clones - 115, 828, Swan, La Tache, Calera and Mt. Eden, 777 and 23.This combination of clones showcases the ideal expression of the estate's terroir and were fermented for 16 months in individual lots with native yeasts in open top
fermenters, basket-pressed and aged on lees before being blended together and aged for an additional 2 months.
